The American Thoracic Society (ATS) and APIC recommend subglottic suctioning for reducing the risk of early onset VAE.1 Medline makes this easier with the SubG subglottic suction ET tube. The Sub G’s barrel-shaped, polyurethane cuff helps to minimize the potential for subglottic secretions to advance below the cuff, while the inline suction port aids in the removal of these secretions.
